Lake Area Attractions
Not only has Lake of the Ozarks become one of the most popular locations in the Mid-west for shopping, boating and golfing, but the lake has many other attractions that will awe, entertain, and downright make you dizzy! There is plenty for nature lovers to do from exploring caves to hiking and biking the Ozark trails. For history buffs, visit the Wilmore Lodge and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Many go-cart tracks and miniature golf courses are located right off Highway 54 in Osage Beach and Business 54 in Lake Ozark.

Lake Area Schools
Five high schools are conveniently located in the lake area, and the graduating senior classes have ACT scores that are consistently above the state and national averages. Two out of three graduates advance on to college. The area has two technical career centers, a four-year liberal arts college extension campus and a satellite community college. These educational institutions work closely with community businesses to provide needed training for the area’s workforce.

Weather
Every season is beautiful at Lake of the Ozarks! During the summer, the average day temperature is between 85 and 90 degrees. The water temperature averages in the high 70s to mid-80s. Summer is the best time for swimming and boating. It is also the time of year when the Lake is the busiest.
Springtime is another beautiful season here at the Lake. The trees and flowers bloom into beautiful colors and fishing becomes more popular as some of the best bass and crappie are abundant for the anglers. In addition, a wide variety of festivals make this season very enjoyable.
In the fall, the weather is still great with temperatures ranging from the high 60s to the high 70s. People continue to go boating and fishing because the water temperature continues to stay comfortable. Golfing becomes popular as the drop in temperature adds a refreshing breeze to the links.
During the winter, high temperatures average between the low 30s and mid-50s. The Lake area experiences some snowy weather and the temperatures may dip into the 20s. Many people who visit the area during the winter like to go shopping. Many retailers have good bargains for shoppers during the winter!

A POPULAR PASTIME AT LAKE OF THE OZARKS
Seven Springs
This beautiful winery is located among the rolling foothills between Osage Beach and Camdenton. Share a bottle of wine or sangria with dinner while enjoying the live entertainment or just stay for a glass and seasonal fruit and cheese board. They also offer a shuttle from your lake location!
Shawnee Bluff Winery
Shawnee Bluff Winery offers wine by the bottle or by the glass. We also offer wine tastings in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views of the Lake of the Ozarks. We are located on Bagnell Dam Boulevard in Lake Ozark, situated atop the bluff with a 14-mile incredible, panoramic view of Lake of the Ozarks. Originally renovated in 2011, we now have added new decks to enjoy our wine and view, an indoor tasting room and bistro if the weather isn’t ideal, and a new brick oven to prepare the best pizza at the Lake. We have added a Banquet and Event Hall available for your special occasion of groups up to 50.

It’s a great setting, but playing at the Lake is more than just “a walk in the woods”. Area courses challenge golfers at every skill level. Elevation changes, water features, rock outcrops and more have been built into our championship courses by famed designers including Arnold Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, and Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
